FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team fell to Aquinas College. 1-0, in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play on Saturday evening at Warrior Athletic Field.
The Warriors fired off three shots on goal versus just two for the Saints and held a 8-4 advantage in corner kicks, but were unable to convert their chances. The visitors had the edge in total shots, 13-5.
After battling through a scoreless first half, the Saints were able to take the lead in the 60
th minute when Ryan Wagenmaker headed in the cross from Aldony Mendez to Tech keeper
Logan Kelly to the near post.
Zachary St. Aubin had two of the Warriors shots on goal, while
Richard Doll had the other.
Logan Kelly had one save and took the loss as his record fell to 4-9-1.
Tech (4-10-1, 1-7-1) returns to action on Monday as they open the final week of the regular season with a visit from crosstown rival Saint Francis. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field and live stats will be available at IndianaTechWarriors.com.
