BENSENVILLE, Ill. – The Indiana Tech ACHA Division 1 men's ice hockey team fell to 12
th ranked Robert Morris, 6-1, on Saturday night at the Edge Ice Arena.
Tech fell behind 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. RMU's Brett Leppek would then score two of his three goals in the first seven minutes of the second period to put the Eagles up 3-0. The hosts would then add another goal at 9:49.
Ryan Theisen scored at 11:50 would cut the lead to four, but the Eagles would add a fifth goal three and a half minutes later to take back the momentum.
Jace Childs picked up the assist on Theisen's goal
Chet Tooker made 34 saves in net for the Warriors, who accumulated 57 minutes of penalty time in the final game of the calendar year.
Tech (12-11-0-1-0) doesn't play again until Jan. 8 when they travel to Fremont, Nebraska for a weekend set with Midland. Puck drop is set for 1 p.m. from Sidner Ice Arena.
