FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's basketball team used a strong first half to power past Lourdes, 94-72, in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action on Wednesday at the Schaefer Center.
Haley Cook led all scorers with a career-high 26 points on 8-of-13 shooting, including 6-of-9 from behind the three-point line. She also dished out seven assists and grabbed five rebounds.
Baylee Rinehart chipped in 17 points off the bench, with 12 of those coming from behind the arc.

Taylor Carver also notched double-figures in scoring with 11, 10 and 10, respectively.
Rayana Villalpando dished out a season-high nine assists while adding nine points and pulling down a team-high eight rebounds.
Villalpando gave the Warriors the lead on the first possession as she hit a jumper 17 seconds into the game. Tech would get out to a 10-2 lead and force the Gray Wolves to call a timeout just two and a half minutes into the opening period. The Orange and Black would end the quarter on a 17-11 run as they shot 52.6% from the floor and 71.4% from downtown.
A three from Rinehart would open the second quarter as the Warriors would push their lead to as many as 28 as they held the visitors to 34.4% shooting from the floor. Cook would finish the half with 15 of her 26 points and only missed one shot.
Lourdes would cut the deficit to 15 with 7:56 to go in the game, but a 7-0 spurt quickly pushed the hosts lead back into the 20's and finished the game on a 21-12 run to push the Warriors winning streak to four games.
Tech (6-3, 3-1 WHAC) will hit the road for a four-game road trip starting on Saturday when they head north to Ann Arbor, Michigan to battle Concordia. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. and links to live video and stats will be available at IndianaTechWarriors.com.
