Warriors Mow Down Trailblazers for 10th Win

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The (RV) Indiana Tech men's basketball team had four players score in double digits as they defeated Ohio Christian, 91-73, on Tuesday afternoon at the Schaefer Center for their 10th victory of the season and sixth win in a row.

Dominique Walls led the Warriors with a team-high 23 points while grabbing nine rebounds, three steals and a block on 10-of-12 shooting. Lavonte Davis added 20 points, six rebounds, six assists and four blocks. Miles Robinson recorded his first double-double of his Tech career with 19 points and 11 rebounds while dishing out six assists. Tanner Watkins chipped in a season-high 14 points.

The Orange and Black would lead wire-to-wire as they jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first two minutes of play thanks to a pair of three pointers from Jantzen Goodwin and one from Robinson. Tech would continue to roll through most of the first half, leading by as many as 18 with seven minutes to go until halftime.

A 10-0 run by the Trailblazers would cut the Warriors lead to eight at 32-24 with 5:18 to go in the half, but Tech would counter with a 10-0 spurt of its own to push the lead right back to 18 as they ended the half up 49-32.

The hosts would push their lead to 21, their largest of the game, just over a minute into the second half, but the visitors would try to chip away at the lead, in large part thanks to Evin Bartlett's game-high 30 points. Ohio Christian would get as close as seven with 6:30 left, but a 11-2 run by Tech, including a pair of dunks by Walls, would push the lead back to 16 as the Warriors won their sixth straight game.

Tech (10-4, 7-1 WHAC) has a quick turnaround as they head to (RV) Grace College on Wednesday night. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. from Winona Lake and links to live stats and video will be available at IndianaTechWarriors.com.
