FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech ACHA Division 1 men's ice hockey team fell to No. 9 Davenport, 6-2, on Friday night at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse in GLCHL action.
The Panthers jumped on the board first with a goal from Luke McCarthy at 17:07 in the first. A power play goal from
Jarrett Pfeiffer would tie it up at 9:48, but the visitors would score two goals in the second to head into the third period with a 3-2 advantage.
Dylan Grant brought the Orange and Black within one at 14:56 in the third, but the ninth ranked Panthers scored three goals in the last eight and half minutes to come away with the 6-2 win.
Tech's special teams played well, stopping all four of the Panthers power plays while converting their one opportunity.
Zach Larson made 18 saves in the loss.
