BOX SCORE | KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Indiana Tech ACHA I Hockey team concluded its five-game season series with Great Lakes College Hockey League member Western Michigan on Friday night, falling 6-2 at Lawson Arena.
The Warriors finish their inaugural season 3-2 against next season's conference foe. The Warriors found themselves in an early hole after allowing a single first period goal and three second period tallies, heading to the third down 4-0.
The offense found a spark in the final 20 minutes, earning a tie in the final period, but ultimately losing the contest.
Ryan Krolikowski put Tech on the board, slipping a
Matt Walton pass into the net early in the third. Minutes later
Jarrett Pfeiffer corralled a pass from Jace Childs and
Ryan Theisen and beat the goalie for the Warriors second goal. Unfortunately it was a little too late for the Orange and Black.
"We didn't sustain much offensive zone time tonight," observed Warriors Head Coach
Frank DiCristofaro. "Our compete level has to be better and it has to start at the beginning of the game, not 40 minutes in."
The Warriors return to the ice for their final road contest of the season on Friday, Feb. 20 against Rochester College at Fraser Hockeyland in Rochester, Mich. Puck-drop is scheduled for 6:45 p.m.
