BRIEF:Â The Indiana Tech baseball team dropped their home opener but earned a split of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference doubleheader on Friday. The Golden Eagles got a ninth inning run to win game one while Tech scored in the bottom of the sixth to take the second.

FLOW: GM 1:- Neither team could score in the first three innings
- Three hits and an error allowed Cornerstone to plate two runs in the fourth
- An RBI single added to the Golden Eagle lead but solid defense limited the damage

Derek Morgan continued to hit, driving in a pair of runs with a single in the fifth
- A
Romer Portes single in the eighth tied the score for the Warriors
- Back-to-back two out hits scored the game winning run in the ninth for CU

GM 2:- After a quiet three innings, Tech used an error on a Hakes sacrifice bunt to score the first run but left the bases loaded
- In the fifth the Golden Eagles used three hits to tie the game
- A two-out single by
Steve Remesnik started the rally in the sixth
- A wild pitch allowed Geoff Duckman, running for Remesnik, to reach second and score on Morgan's game-winning RBI double

HIGHLIGHTS: GM 1:- Morgan drove in two with his lone hit, one of four Warriors to record a hit
- Portes also had an RBI while three different players scored

Brian Hakes extended his reach base streak to 13 in 13 games

Jared Harvey (1-2) was solid in relief, allowing one run on three hits, striking out seven and walking one in four innings

GM 2:- Remesnik tallied a pair of hits with Morgan and
Dezmon Nunn recording the other two hits

Connor McLaughlin (1-0) was stellar on the mound allowing just one run on seven hits over seven innings, striking out six and walking four
