Offense Quiet for @INTechSoftball in Pair of Losses

BRIEF: The Indiana Tech softball team struggled offensively in their second doubleheader of the season, dropping a pair to Tennessee Wesleyan. Tech scored two runs on 12 hits between the two games with Sofia Johantgen leading the offense again with three hits and one of the Warriors two RBIs on the day.

FLOW:
Game 1
- The Warriors had at least one runner on base in six of the seven innings
- Tech pushed the first run across in the third when Johantgen drove in Dembinski, who led off with a triple
- The Orange and Black couldn't score with bases loaded and two outs in the fourth
- Tennessee Wesleyan used their first multi-hit inning to score three runs on three hits and an error in the bottom of the fourth
- A pair of hits plated two more for the Bulldogs in the fifth
- The Warriors threatened in the seventh, putting two on with one out, but a double-play ended the game

Game 2
- Tech got a leadoff triple from Johantgen, but couldn't score
- Two hits plated a run in the bottom of the first for the home team
- After the Warriors stranded a leadoff double in the third, the Bulldogs plated two more runs on three hits and an error
- Tori Simper led off the fourth with a double and her pinch runner, Holleigh Reed, scored on Hanna Foltz's sacrifice bunt
- The Warriors failed to score in the fifth after back-to-back singles from Alexis Irvine and Johantgen
- TWC added a final run on a sacrifice fly in the fifth for the win
 
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Johantgen collected three more hits and recorded an RBI
- Foltz recorded an RBI while Dembinski and Reed scored the two runs for Tech
- Jamie Kilps had another solid outing, only allowing three runs, two earned on four hits in four innings
-  Tori Simper pitched well in relief in game two, allowing just one unearned run and two hits in three innings
