BRIEF: Romer Portes hit three home runs but six errors in the second game prevented Tech from sweeping the battle of the Warriors on Tuesday at Warriors Stadium. Some solid pitching helped the Orange and Black hang on for the win in game one while but a defensive letdown in the night cap allowed Rochester to leave with a victory.

FLOW:GAMEÂ 1- Two hits and an error led to two runs, one earned, for Rochester in the first
- Portes tied the game with his first home run of the afternoon, a two-run shot to left field, scoring

- Tech loaded the bases without a hit in the second but couldn't score

- The Orange and Black added to their lead in the fourth with Koehring driving in Terry who led off with a walk
- Tech finished its scoring in the fifth as
Dezmon Nunn delivered a sacrifice fly, scoring
Caleb Heller who had led off the frame with a walk
- One hit an and error allowed an RBI groundout to plate and unearned run for RC in the sixth
- A two-out RBI double in the seventh cut the lead to one and a walk loaded the bases, but
Jared Harvey shut the door with a strikeout on four pitches

GAME 2- Two errors, a pair of walks and one hit led to a four-run first for Rochester
- Portes provided some more offensive fireworks with another home run to left
- One walk, one hit and one error led to RC runs in both the second and third innings
- Three singles and another Tech error led to two more unearned runs and an 8-1 advantage for the visitors
- Mead drew a leadoff walk in the fifth and Portes followed by depositing a 2-1 pitch onto Anthony Blvd., hitting a passing car in the process
- Portes plated another run in the sixth as a Rochester error allowed him to reach, cutting the deficit to four
- Three hits, including an RBI triple, gave Rochester the 9-4 lead heading to the seventh
- A pair of doubles from
Tyler Denniston and
Spencer Newell, as well as a Portes RBI single cut the deficit to two and put two on with two out, but a strikeout ended the Tech rally and the game

HIGHLIGHTS: GAME 1- Portes drove in two and scored once on his one hit
- Only three other Warriors had hits
- Terry scored twice on a pair of walks
- Tech tallied eight walks and had an RBI on every run scored

Brian Gremaux got his second with, allowing three runs, one earned, on six hits, striking out four with three walks in 5.1 innings
- Harvey earned his second save with a perfect third of an inning

GAME 2- Portes finished 3-for-4 with five RBIs and two runs scored while also drawing a walk
- Newell went 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI
- Denniston was also a perfect 2-for-2 with a pair of runs scored, an RBI and two walks
- Tech tallied seven hits and 11 walks
- Only one of Rochester's nine runs were earned

UP NEXT: The Warriors will travel across town to Cougar Field for a single nine-inning contest against the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) with first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m.
