SCORE: IT 6, USF 7 (10 inn.)
RECORDS: Indiana Tech (12-12), Saint Francis (Ind.) (7-21)
LOCATION: Fort Wayne, Ind. (Cougar Field)

BRIEF: The Indiana Tech baseball team traveled across town to face the University of St. Francis (Ind.) in the first of three scheduled meeting this season and saw Romer Portes homer for the third straight game, but it wasn't enough as the Cougars won in 10 innings, 7-6. Tech posted six hits and didn't commit an error, but couldn't hold on to a 6-3 lead in the loss.

FLOW:
- The first three Cougars reached base and a double play scored the first run
- Tighe Koehring got things started for Tech with a one out single in the second as his courtesy runner, Kyle Mead stole second, advanced to third on an error and then scored as USF attempted to throw out Mark Carpenter stealing second
- Two singles, a sac bunt and a groundout put the home team back in front
- Both offenses went quite until the sixth when Tech plated four runs on three hits
- Steve Remesnik led off with a walk, reaching third on a wild pitch and groundout before scoring on a Ryne Terry RBI single
- Terry moved to third on a Brian Hakes double and both runners scored when Portes delivered a pinch-hit three-run home run to right field, his third game with a home run and four in three games
- A leadoff double came around to score for USF on a sacrifice fly in the sixth to cut the lead to two
- The Orange and Black got the run back in the eighth when T. Koehring singled to lead off the frame, coming around to score two batters later on throwing error after stealing third
- Three two-out runs, only one scored via a hit, tied the score for the Cougars in the eighth
- In the 10th, St. Francis got a two-out RBI single to win the game

HIGHLIGHTS:
- Portes continues to stay hot at the plate, finishing 1-for-2 with three RBI's and a runs scored
- T. Koehring's success against right-handed pitching continued as he was the only Warrior with multiple hits, finishing 2-for-3 with a run scored
- Nick Noe got the start and allowed just three runs, two earned, on seven hits with one walk and two strikeouts over five innings
- Zach Sailors (0-1) took the loss, allowing one run on three hits with two walks in four innings
