BRIEF: Playing their first game since returning from spring break, the Indiana Tech softball team opened up Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play against Northwestern Ohio, meeting the Racers for the second time this season after defeating the WHAC foe 14-6 in six innings on Mar. 20. Unfortunately for the Warriors, the Racers got the better of them when it counted, taking both games of the twin-bill at Racer Field. Tech tallied 12 hits and held the lead in both games, but a walk-off and a pair of crooked innings did them in.

FLOW:
GAME 1
- Neither offense could score until the third when UNOH strung together back-to-back doubles to score two runs
- Tech answered in the fourth as Juliaclare Plezbert led off with a single and Hannah Foltz followed with a two-run home run to left center to tie the score
- Four batters later Katie Bird singled home Jenavie Rivas with a one out to take a 3-2 lead
- The score remained that way until the bottom of the seventh when the Racers strung together four consecutive hits to plate a pair of wins for the 4-3 win

GAME 2
- The Warriors scored first as Foltz and Cotton drew back-to-back walks to lead of the second and Rivas plated the former with an RBI single and an error allowed the latter to score
- A double, single and home run gave the Racers the lead in the fourth
- Three more hits in the fifth put the home team up 5-2
- Foltz and Cotton led off the sixth with back-to-back walks again and Plezbert drove a double to right center to score both and cut the deficit to one
- Unfortunately, the Warriors rally fell short in the one-run loss
