FORT WAYNE, Ind. – With an injury plagued roster, No. 25 Indiana Wesleyan was too much for the Indiana Tech women's tennis team who suffered an 8-1 loss at the Wildwood Racquet Club on Tuesday.
In doubles action, the Warriors No. 1 duo of
Anabell Cordero and
Raquel Manzoni nearly defeated the East regions seventh ranked pair of Katie Wilson and Kim Mella, falling 8-5.
In singles play, four Warriors won at least one game while Cordero was outstanding, winning her match at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 1-6, 11-9 for Tech's lone point. Barbara de Oliveira had the closest singles loss at No. 4 with a 6-4, 6-4 loss.
The Warriors look to get back on track on Saturday, Apr. 4 when they travel to Southfield, Mich. to open Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play with Lawrence Tech (Mich.). The match is scheduled for 1 p.m.
