BRIEF: The Indiana Tech baseball team finally took the field against the Bethel College Pilots, playing a doubleheader that had twice been rescheduled, earning a split, 0-3, 11-9 at Jenkins Baseball Stadium on Tuesday. The Warriors wasted a solid pitching performance from Nick Noe, getting shut out for the third time in 2015, but the offense awoke in game two to the tune of 11 runs on 10 hits to make a winner of Adam Reust.

FLOW:
GAME 1
The home team got on the board in the first, scoring a run on a pair of hits and a solo home run in the third gave Bethel a two-run advantage.

The Warriors stranded five runners in the contest as two more Pilots hits put the home team ahead 3-0 in the sixth for the final.

GAME 2
Two walks and a hit loaded the bases for the Warriors and Tyler Denniston plated the game's first run with a sacrifice fly and another walk followed by a Mark Carpenter hit-by-pitch made it a two run game.

Tech loaded the bases again in the fourth on two walks and a hit-by-pitch. Romer Portes drove in Tyler Denniston with a fielder's choice and a balk scored Dezmon Nunn to push the lead to four. In the bottom of the frame, four hits and an error led to three unearned runs for the home team, tying the score.

A Steve Remesnik sac fly and a Pilot error plated two more Warriors runs to put the Orange and Black back in front in the fifth. Unfortunately, Bethel added four more runs on five hits in the bottom of the frame to put Tech behind again, 8-6.

With two outs in the sixth, Tighe Koehring reach on an error and his courtesy runner, Robert Nagel, scored on a Matt Bando single to cut the deficit to one. Peyton Newom followed with a two-run home run to center field to put the Warriors back in front.

Tech added to the lead in the seventh with another two-out, two-run home run, this time from Portes who continued his hot hitting, plating Nunn who reached on a bunt single.

Things got interesting in the bottom of the inning as the Pilots put their first two runners on, but a groundout, a strikeout and a pop out ended the game.

BY THE NUMBERS:
GAME 1
Tech tallied four hits, one each from Nunn, Bandor, Gaynor and Duckmann

Noe (0-2) pitched a complete game, allowing three runs on three hits with three strikeouts in six innings of work

GAME 2

Adam Reust (1-0) earned his first win, allowing one hit in 1/3 of an inning while Jared Harvey earned his fifth save, allowing just one hit with a strikeout in one inning of work
