BRIEF: The 18th-ranked Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team suffered another setback in Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association play, falling to No. 7 Dayton, 11-9 at Warrior Athletic Field on Wednesday night. The Warriors played the Flyers even in the first half, but an inability to possess the ball ultimately doomed the Orange and Black.

FLOW:
Dayton got on the board first, scoring on a rebound goal and a minute later, William McKinney took a pass from Nick Knauf and beat the Flyers goalie to tie the score. Dayton added two more goals in the quarter to take an early 3-1 lead.

After Jace Childs picked up a groundball early in the second period, Dan Schaepkens made his hard work pay off with his 18th goal of the season to bring Tech to within one. Childs then netted a goal of his own to tie the score at 3. The Flyers added a fast-break goal to take the lead by Schaepkens answered with his second tally of the night. The visitors used another fast-break to go up 5-4 and then with less than 30 seconds left in the half, Schaepkens added another marker for the halftime break.

William McKinney opened the second half with his fifth goal of the season, but three more from the Flyers made it an 8-6 contest. Kyle Dommermuth then netted marker to cut the deficit to one with 15 minutes to play.

Nichter scored a pair of goals for the Warriors in the final period, but the defense struggled to stop the transition offense of the Flyers, who added three goals in the final period for the win.
