BRIEF: The Indiana Tech women's tennis team improved the .500 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference with an 8-1 win over Concordia (Mich.) at Swinney Park on Thursday afternoon. The Warriors won all six singles matches, dropping just six games.

The Warriors dropped the first doubles match, 8-5, but the other two doubles pairs of
Raquel Manzoni and Barbara de Belli Oliveira and Stephanie Perez and
Ashley Benvenuti won at the second and third positions, 8-1.

Tech increased their lead to 3-1 when Benventi won at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0 and a pair of straight set victories by Manzoni (6-0, 6-0) and Hernandez (6-0, 6-0) gave the Orange and Black the win. The final three wins by Perez (6-0, 6-1), Cordero (6-0, 6-1) and Oliveira (6-2, 6-0) gave Tech the seven point victory.

IN THE NUMBERS:Manzoni and Oliveira improved to 4-2 as a doubles pair with Benvenuti and Perez moving to 3-1…Cordero is now 7-3 in singles action with Hernandez 3-3 while Benvenuti won her second straight singles match at the No. 6 position
