GULF SHORES, Ala. – The two-time defending NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Champion men's track and field team is looking to do what only two other teams have done in the history of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, win five consecutive NAIA Track and Field titles. The Warrior men have won a pair of indoor and outdoor titles, beginning with the 2013 team crown.

The Warriors enter the 2015 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium with the most individuals qualified with 22. Eleven of the 22 individuals are previous All-Americans while
Robert Rose returns as a 2014 National Champion in the 400m Hurdles and two of the four members of the 2014 4x800m relay national champions,
John Hester and
Devon Marrow, return, but will not be able to defend their title due to injuries to other participants.

John Broaden, a junior for the Warriors, is qualified for four events. He's the top seed in the 200m dash (20.73) and sixth in the 100m dash (10.45) while the 4x400m relay is also a top seed (3:09.33) while the 4x100m relay team is second (40.40).
Harris Edwards III, also a junior, will join Broaden in all four events as he is eligible for both relays while being third in the 200m (20.90) and 10th in the 100m (10.53).

A pair of freshman,
Khalid Fuller and
Colby Morris, will round out the 4x100m relay team while
John Hester,
D'Quan Ruth and
Devon Marrow are all in the mix for the 4x400m slots.

Hester, a sophomore, and Ruth, a senior, will compete individually in the 400m dash where they are seeded fourth (47.86) and 13th (53.50), respectively. Marrow, a sophomore, will compete in the 800m as the 18th seed (1:53.43) while Rose, a senior, will compete in both the 110m (7th, 14.45) and 400m (6th, 42.49) hurdles.

Sophomore
Deshawn Woods will join Rose in both hurdles events. In the 110m he is seeded 14th (14.69) while coming in fifth in the 400m (52.44). Luke Runyan, a freshman, will follow his impressive WHAC Outdoor Championships by competing in the 800m where he is the 12th seed (1:52.88).

Junior
Brenden Zoltek will represent the Warriors in the 3000m Steeplechase where he is 10th (9:21.61) while fellow junior,
Marcus Hobbs, will also compete in a distance event, running the 10K where he is the 14th seed (31:13.38).

In the field events, four Warriors, Matthew Souvannasing (3rd, 7.36m),
Isaiah Lintz (4th, 7.35m),
Carrington Robinson (16th, 7.19m) and
Alain Dixon (17th, 7.18m), will compete in the long jump while Dixon (8th, 14.66m),
TJ Williams (11th, 14.58m) and
Tyler Williams (15th, 14.40m) while represent the Orange and Black in the triple jump.

In the high jump, junior
Herb Gary will enter as the 13th seed (2.06m) while fellow classmate,
Trevor Wright is seeded 16th (15.83m) in the shot put.

A pair of sophomores,
Wayne Sherbahn and
Trevor Stanley, also qualified for the event, but can't compete due to injuries.

The event begins at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 21 with the Decathlon while men's hammer throw begins at 1 p.m. and the 4x100m relay prelims kick off track events at 3 p.m. For more information including schedule of events, live results and live video, visit
