FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's and women's track & field teams had their first home "outdoor" meet of the season on Wednesday, where they hosted the Easter Invite and celebrated senior day!

The meet was originally planned to be a two-day affair, but due to inclement weather, it was adjusted to a one day, field event only meet inside at the Doug Edgar Indoor Track Facility at Warrior Park. The Warriors adapted to make it work and showed out with some stellar performances. They posted five event wins, four individual personal records, and four new program top ten all-time marks. Stephen Sydnor punched his ticket to nationals after hitting a huge PR and NAIA A standard jump of 7.57m in the long jump, winning the event and moving into second all-time on Indiana Tech's top ten list.
 
Meet highlights:
Men:

• Carson Pollard won the high jump with a mark of 1.98m, while Alexander Brandon finished third with a jump of 1.93m
• Jayden Packer cleared 4.65m in the pole vault to finish second
• Tech would take the top four spots in both the long jump and the triple jump
  • Stephen Sydnor led the way in the long jump at 7.57m to win the event and qualify for nationals, while Damien Keys (7.35m), Rodrigo Davis (7.27m) and Darian Long (7.22m) rounded out the top four
  • Adam Teitelbaum won the triple jump with a mark of 14.43m and was followed by Robert Vaughn (13.47m), Jeremy Wingo (12.77m), and Credo Mlope (12.55m)

Women:

• In the high jump, three Warriors would tie for second as Alyssa Christian, Jordan Gladen, and Alyssia Quick all cleared 1.54m
• Viviana Rodriguez and Evelyn Dolce went one, two in the pole vault, clearing 3.53m and 3.38m, respectively
• Emerson Harper hit a NAIA B standard on her way to winning the long jump with a mark of 5.81m. She was followed by Dakyra Howard (5.46m) in second and Danielle Campbell (5.29m) in third for the Warriors
• Denise Turpin would finish second in the triple jump with a mark of 10.88m

 
Up next, the Warriors will be split over two meets the weekend of April 10^th and 11^th. Tech will compete at the Tennessee Invite hosted by the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee and the We Fly Challenge hosted by Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.
