WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's tennis team battled tough but came up just short against Grace College on Wednesday afternoon, losing 5-4.
The number two doubles pair of Barbara Belli de Oliveria and
Raquel Manzoni dispatched Mariah Zumbrun and Gabrielle Lawrence 8-4, while also winning their matches in singles play. Belli de Oliveria defeated Jayna Huber in three sets, 4-6, 6-2, 10-2, while Manzoni took down Molly Fitzpatrick in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0.
Anabell Cordero defeated Jenna Jackson at three singles, 6-4, 6-3, for the other Warrior win.
Tech (0-2) returns to the court on Thursday when they travel to Huntington for their penultimate match of the fall. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m.
