LIVONIA, Mich. – The No. 20-ranked Indiana Tech men's basketball team lost its second game in a row on Saturday afternoon as they fell to Madonna, 97-89.
Miles Robinson had a season-high 28 points on 10-of-17 shooting while picking up three assists, two rebounds and a steal.
Dominique Walls had 23 points on 8-of-10 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season while recording two blocks.
Lavonte Davis chipped in with 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting and nine rebounds while swatting four shots.
Tanner Watkins had a nine points and a team-high four assists.
Neither side was able to get out by more than seven points in the first half as the two teams traded blows. Tech used a 13-0 run late in the half to get up 45-38 with 3:32 to go until halftime, but the Crusaders would respond with a 9-6 run to end the half as the Warriors led 51-47.
Madonna opened the second 20 minutes of play with a 14-3 run to go up 61-54 with 13:56 to go as the Crusaders would take the lead and never give it back. Tech would try the fouling strategy down double-digits with under two minutes to go, but the hosts would hit 15-of-20 free throws down the stretch to ice the game and give the Warriors their second straight loss.
The 97 points given up by the Orange and Black were a season-high.
