FREMONT, Neb. – The Indiana Tech ACHA Division 1 men's ice hockey team kicked off the 2016 portion of the schedule on the right skate with a 5-2 victory over Midland on Saturday afternoon at Sidner Ice Arena.
The Warriors in orange and black blitzed the Warriors in orange and blue with a three-goal first period.
Ryan Theisen opened up the scoring 3:53 in the game, while
Alex Gregorich and
Dylan Grant also scored at 4:42 and 2:52, respectively.
Grant would add his second goal of the game just over four minutes into the second period to give Tech a 4-0 lead.
Adam Jonak would also score in the third period for the Orange and Black.
Zach Larson made 21 saves while facing 23 shots on goal, while the Warriors penalty kill went 4-of-4 on the afternoon. Notching assists for head coach
