SYLVANIA, Ohio – The Indiana Tech women's volleyball team fell to 12
th-ranked Lourdes in straight sets (25-23, 25-17, 25-11) on Friday night in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action at the Ebeid Recreation Center.
Cassie Sarabia and
Paige Doellman both recorded a team-best eight kills while
Aubree Eggers added six kills and three blocks.
Karli Jones dished out a team-best 16 assists and
Taylor Kelso notched 25 digs for Tech.
The Warriors pushed the defending regular season and WHAC tournaments champions in the first set, holding a 10-9 lead before the Gray Wolves used an 11-6 run to put some distance between the two teams. Tech would battle back to make it a 24-23 game, but a ball-handling error for the visitors gave Lourdes the first set.
The hosts would jump out to a 13-5 lead in the second, highlighted by a 7-0 run, en route to the second set win before hitting .308 in the third while 12 attack errors from the Orange and Black allowed the Gray Wolves to cruise to the 25-11 set three win and the sweep.
