After falling behind 6-4 in the first set, the Warriors would go on a 7-2 run to retake the lead and extend it to 18-12. The Orange and Black would then go on to take the first set, 25-18.
The Blue Devils would run out to a 12-5 lead in the second set and cruise to a 25-19 win while hitting .462 and limiting the Warriors to just a .192 hitting percentage. A 14-8 run for the hosts in the third would put the Warriors in a hole before using a 6-0 spurt to tie the set at 14. LTU would recover however, using an 11-6 run to take a 2-1 lead in the match.
The Orange and Black would battle back in the fourth set, taking a 17-14 lead, but the Blue Devils would go on a 7-3 run to go ahead 21-20 and forcing Tech to take a timeout. It would not be enough though, as LTU would win the fourth set, 25-21, to take a 3-1 match win.
Tech (16-8, 6-4 WHAC) returns home this weekend as they host the annual Liz Lykowksi Memorial Tournament at the Schaefer Center.
