ADRIAN, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team picked up a key road conference victory on Wednesday evening with a 2-1 win over Siena Heights at O'Laughlin Stadium.
The Saints would strike first as Ian Billock slotted the ball in from 18 yards out in the 10
th minute to put the hosts up 1-0.
The Warriors would tie the game at one in the 57
th minute as
Mitch Smith took the corner kick from
Andrew Higgins and put in the net for his fifth goal of the season.
The Orange and Black would control the pace the rest of the half, recording the only shots on goal and going up 2-1 in the 86
th minute as Higgins drilled a free kick in from 20 yards out.
Adam Viviano made one save in the victory while Higgins and Smith led the team with two shots on frame.
Tech (10-2-2, 4-2-1 WHAC) returns home on Saturday as they host Aquinas on "Liver Cancer Awareness Night". Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
