FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team shutout Aquinas on Saturday afternoon, 3-0, at Warrior Athletic Field in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action on Liver Cancer Awareness Night.
"This is probably our most under control, complete performance of the WHAC season to date," head coach
David Bokhart said. "It is great to be back at home and I am so proud of the effort today and of what the guys have done in turning around quickly from Wednesday night. We still have to accumulate points to keep momentum heading into the postseason and we have three very difficult games remaining."
Brennan Cochran scored the Warrior's lone goal in the first half as he launched his fourth goal of the season in the 15
th minute off the assist from
Andrew Higgins. The Orange and Black added two more goals late in the second half with
Ryan Hayhurst taking the header in for the score off another Higgins assist in the 74
th minute and
Roman Schindler scoring his ninth goal of the season in the 79
th minute off
Ruben Leonardo's pass.
Schindler and
Brennan Cochran each finished the night with two shots on goal apiece.
Adam Viviano concluded his night with two saves for the Warriors in the full 90 minutes of play.
Tech (11-2-2, 5-2-1 WHAC) will be back in action Monday as they host Lourdes in a make-up game from Homecoming Weekend at Warrior Athletic Field for a 4 p.m. match-up.
