Warriors Fall to Panthers in Regular Season Finale

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team fell to #4 Davenport, 6-0, in their final regular season match-up on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Athletic Field.

Davenport opened the contest with a quick goal in the third minute from TJ Ifaturoti, while the final forty plus minutes of the first half remained quiet with both teams holding each other scoreless in the 1-0 midway mark.

The second half changed dramatically with the Panthers taking control of the pace with Tyler Collishaw beating his defender to send in the score off the Cam Cavanagh assist in the 57th minute. Less than two minutes later Cavanagh sent in a goal of his own following the rebound off the Collishaw free kick. Jake Love would later assist another Ifaturoti goal in the 67th minute to put Davenport ahead 4-0 before Brogan Shrimpton sent the chip pass in for the score in the 72nd minute and Yovany Duran rounded out the scoring for the opponents with their sixth goal of the afternoon in the 79th minute.

Tech goalkeeper Adam Viviano concluded his night with eight saves in the full duration of the contest.

Tech (13-3-2, 7-3-1 WHAC) will be back in action for the first round of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament as they host #25 Madonna at Warrior Athletic Field. Time for this match-up is to be determined.
