FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech ACHA Division 1 men's ice hockey team fell to No. 21
st-ranked Kent State, 3-1, on Friday evening at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse in GLCHL action.
"I thought we did some things well tonight," head coach
Frank DiCristofaro said. We have to do a better job of executing our game plan and get some pucks in the net."
After a scoreless opening period
Nick Papandrea gave the Warriors a 1-0 lead with 15:14 to go in the second, but the Golden Flashes would regroup to tie it up at one with 4:29 to go in the period.
Kent State then found its offense in the final 20 minutes of play, scoring twice in the first seven minutes of the third to take a 3-1 lead. The Orange and Black would fire off 15 shots on goal in the final 13 minutes of regulation, but were unable to get any past KSU netminder Adam Ranck, who finished the game with 51 saves.

Zach Larson finished the contest with 22 saves while
Quentin Holmes won a game-high 17 faceoffs.
Tech (10-7-0) returns to action on Saturday evening when they conclude their weekend set against Kent State at the SportONE/Parkview Icehouse. Puck drop is set for 5:30 p.m.
