Warriors Dominate Crimson Wave to Fourth Straight Win

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's basketball team took down Calumet College of St. Joseph in dominant fashion, 105-31, on Saturday evening at the Schaefer Center.

Taylor Seiss led all scorers with 18 points on 7-9 shooting, including going 4-6 from behind the three-point line. Haley Cook added 16 points while Baylee Rinehart and Kendall Knapke rounded out double-digit scorers with 14 and 11 points, respectively. Keanna Gary would pull down nine rebounds to add to her eight-point evening.

Seiss and Cook got things into motion for the Warriors, helping to push them out on a 20-2 run through the opening of the contest. Tech would only surrender four first quarter points to their opponents. A pair of layups from Linsey Masnari advanced the Orange and Black lead to 41-4, while strong defense continued to hold the Crimson Wave to just four points up to about the three-minute mark before the half. At the break, Tech held the demanding 54-11 lead.

The Warriors would continue to control the pace of the game through the second half with Cook opening for eight quick points through the first five minutes of the third quarter en route to an 82-20 lead heading into the final ten minutes of play. Calumet would hit double-digits in the final period of play, as Tech rode out the game on cruise control to outscore their opponents 23-11 for their fourth straight win of the season.

Tech (4-0) returns to action this Sunday as they face-off against the crosstown Fort Wayne Mastodons in an exhibition contest at the Gates Sports Center. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.
