SYLVANIA, Ohio – The No. 21-ranked Indiana Tech women's basketball team cruised to their sixth consecutive victory on Saturday afternoon at the Ebeid Rec Center with a 90-61 victory over Lourdes.
Keanna Gary recorded her seventh double-double of the season with a game-high 22 points and 11 rebounds, while
Haley Cook matched her classmate in points and added four steals and three assists.
Taylor Seiss contributed 18 points and six rebounds while
Kendall Knapke rounded out Tech's leaders with 13 points, five rebounds, five assists and a program-record seven blocks.
Tech jumped out to a 22-2 lead in the first quarter as they shot 57.1% from the field while limiting the Gray Wolves to just 1-14 in the period. The hosts scored their only points in the opening quarter at the 7:57 mark and then the Orange and Black exploded for a 17-0 run.
The Warriors continued to control the pace and tempo in the second quarter, outscoring Lourdes 24-19 to take a 46-21 lead into halftime. Cook and Gary would then take over in the third period, combining for 18 of the teams 24 points and neither missing a shot from the field.
Tech (11-1, 6-1 WHAC) returns to action on Friday, December 16 as they continue their road trip with a visit to Ann Arbor, Michigan and a date with Concordia. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. from Concordia Gymnasium.
