FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's basketball team defeated Concordia University on Monday night at the Schaefer Center, sweeping the season series with an 86-58 win.
Haley Cook had a game-high 24 points and grabbed five rebounds, dished out four assists and picked up a pair of steals.
Taylor Seiss added 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting while
Kendall Knapke had 15 points and five rebounds.
Taylor Carver chipped in 11 points and five rebounds while
Sarah White had a game-high seven rebounds.
The Cardinals jumped out to an 11-8 lead just under five minutes into the game but the Warriors would respond with 11 straight points as part of a 13-4 run to end the quarter.
Baylee Rinehart started it off with a three-pointer which was followed by triples from Seiss and Cook, with the latter forcing the visitors to call a timeout.
A back-and-forth second period followed with both sides scoring 14 points as the Warriors went into the locker room up 35-29.
An offensive explosion opened the second half with both teams combining to hit their first nine shots from the field. Tech would go on a 10-2 run to go up 53-42 with 4:09 left in the third.
The Orange and Black would keep up the pressure in the final quarter and used an 18-0 run to push their advantage to 84-55 with just over two minutes to play and cruised to the victory.
Tech (15-9, 11-5 WHAC) continues a busy week with a trip to Marygrove on Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. from Detroit's Northwest Activities Center.
