Tech would get as close as four with 3:59 left in the third quarter following a 13-7 run to open the second half, with all the Warriors points coming from Cook and Carver as Lawrence Tech was forced to call a timeout. The Blue Devils would counter with an 8-0 run to end the period as they went up 52-40 with 10 minutes left.
LTU would then score seven of the next eight points to extend their lead to 18, the largest of the game and cruised the rest of the way for the victory.
