ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – The No. 4/4 (NAIA/NWLL) Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team got its fourth straight win and 11
th of the season with a 13-8 win over No. 7/7 Robert Morris on Monday night at Morris Field.
Alexa Winter scored six goals to lead the Warriors while
Tayler Campbell racked up two goals.
Sam Vikstrom picked up seven ground balls and caused six turnovers while scoring once and gaining one draw control.
Nicole Price added six ground balls and four draw controls while adding a goal and an assist. NWLL and WHAC Defensive Player of the Week
Meaghan Eldridge made nine saves to get the winning decision.
The Orange and Black blitzed the Eagles for five goals in the opening 10 minutes of the game, with
Aubri Hazen scoring the first one at the 26:45 mark and Campbell, Price and Winter scoring the next four.
The hosts would then score three unanswered goals in the next 10 minutes to cut the deficit to two, but
Dakota Dawson would put Tech back up three with 8:02 left while Winter added her third goal of the half with 36 seconds on the clock as the Warriors headed into the locker room up 7-4.
The Orange and Black would outscore Robert Morris 6-4 in the final 30 minutes of the contest as the visitors would finish the nonconference portion of their schedule 4-0.
