FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's tennis team fell to Lawrence Tech, 6-3, on Friday afternoon at Wildwood Racquet Club to conclude their regular season and their match against the Blue Devils, which was originally played on March 30 but suspended due to rain.
The two doubles team of
Raquel Manzoni and
Kayla Morrell completed their match as they fell to Carolyn McCullen and Missy Coolsaet, 8-5.
Manzoni would come back to win her match at one singles, 6-3, 6-2, over McCullen, while
Anabell Cordero and
Barbara Belli de Oliveira would each come back from down a set to win thrilling three-setters. Cordero would win 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 while Belli de Oliveira would take home a 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory.
Tech (2-13, 2-4 WHAC) now turns their attention to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Tournament in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 28-30.
