FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team defeated regional rival Huntington, 3-0, on Saturday evening in their home opener at Warrior Athletic Field.
 
Oswaldo Segura Diaz got the scoring started early as he took the give-and-go from Ruben Leonardo in the third minute to put the Warriors up 1-0 over the Foresters. Richard Doll would make it 2-0 Tech in the 67^th minute with a shot from 18 yards out with Roman Schindler getting the assist.
 
The Orange and Black would extend their lead to 3-0 14 minutes later as Ruben Leonardo notched his second goal of the season as he beat the keeper to the near post in the 82^nd minute.
 
Adam Viviano notched his first shutout of the season while making three saves to improve his record to 2-0 on the season.
 
Tech (2-0-0) returns to the pitch on Wednesday, Sept. 7, when they head south to Upland, Indiana for a matchup with Taylor University. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Turner Stadium and links to live stats and video will be available at IndianaTechWarriors.com.
