FREMONT, Neb. – The No. 22-ranked Indiana Tech ACHA Division 1 men's ice hockey team fell to No. 18-ranked Midland in a shootout, 5-4, with the hosts coming out on top 3-1 in the shootout, on Friday evening at Sidner Ice Arena.
"Our first period we had to shake a lot of the rust off from break," head coach
Frank DiCristofaro said. "I think we battled hard against a good team today. Tomorrow we need to start on time."
The host Warriors would race out to a 3-0 lead after the first period, but Tech would cut the deficit to one after 40 minutes thanks to a power play goal from

With under a minute to play, the Orange and Black would pull the goalie for the extra attacker and Denice would find the back of the net again for the his second game-tying goal of the night and third score of the game with 26 seconds remaining in regulation.
After a scoreless overtime period, the two teams went to a shootout to decide the winner.
