ATHENS, Tenn. – The No. 7-ranked Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team defeated Tennessee Wesleyan, 16-13, on Sunday afternoon at the TWU Lacrosse Field to give the team its first victory of the 2017 season and Bryan Seaman his first win as the head coach of the Warriors.

The Bulldogs would control the game through the first six minutes, taking a 2-1 lead, but the Warriors would respond with three goals to end the first quarter and take a 4-3 lead into the first intermission.

Tech would continue its offensive onslaught in the second with six more goals, including three from Chandler Peterson to take a 10-6 lead into halftime. TWU would rally back in the third to cut the deficit to 12-11 while taking advantage of four Warrior penalties to set up the final quarter of regulation.

The visitors would open the fourth period with three straight goals and took a 15-11 advantage with eight minutes remaining in the game and hold off a late charge from the hosts to come away with the 16-13 win.
