Warriors Hold Off Eagles in Road Win

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team defeated Robert Morris, 20-16, on Saturday afternoon at Morris Field in nonconference action.
 
Tied 5-5 after two quarters of action, the Warriors would explode for 10 goals in the third period to take a 15-6 lead over the Eagles. Eight different players would score for the Orange and Black during the quarter, with all the goals coming after the 15 minute mark, with Adam Cole and Chandler Peterson each notching two goals apiece for Tech.
 
The Eagles would respond with a fury of goals though, scoring four goals in the opening four minutes of the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to 15-10. The hosts would then add four more goals in a three minute stretch, three of them coming with a man advantage, from the 6:40-3:41 mark, but the Peterson and Cole would score their fourth and third goals of the game, respectively, at the 2:28 and 1:32 marks to ice the game and give Tech its third straight win.
 
Joe Dosen made a season-high 17 saves in the win while Peterson, Noah Puckett and Jace Childs each finished with four goals apiece. Peterson would add five assists for a game-high nine points and picked up five ground balls.
 
Tech (3-1) returns to action on Sunday as they host Cleary in a nonconference matchup. Opening faceoff is set for 3 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
