FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's lacrosse team set the school record for goals in a game as they defeated Cleary, 31-2, on Sunday afternoon at Warrior Athletic Field.
Tech jumped out to the early lead by scoring four goals in the first four minutes of the game before adding another four goals in the last seven and a half minutes of the first quarter to take an 8-1 lead into the first intermission.
The Warriors would continue the offensive onslaught with 12 goals in the second quarter with nine players recording one point in the contest.
Noah Puckett and
Adam Cole led the way with eight points each, with the former scoring a team-high six goals while the latter had four goals and four assists.
Brandon Gates would also score six goals while
Jace Childs added five.
Lee Raymond and
Chandler Peterson would combine for 27 ground balls and lose just five faceoffs in-between them.
Tech (4-1) opens Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play on Saturday when they head to Aquinas for a 5 p.m. faceoff.
