The Saints would come out of the locker room outscoring the visitors 4-2 while opening the fourth quarter with two more goals to go up 13-11 with 10:53 left in the game. The Orange and Black would answer back though by scoring three straight goals in the next seven minutes to take a 14-13 lead at 3:35 in the quarter, but Aquinas would tie the game up nine seconds later to set up the dramatic finish.

After holding off a Saints offensive possession and clearing it into their defensive zone, head coach Bryan Seaman would call a timeout to set up a play for his team. The end result from Chandler Peterson scoring the game-winning goal with 70 seconds left in the game while Tech's defense forced a pair of turnovers late to start off conference play with a win.

Joe Dosen made nine saves in the win while McKinney finished with four goals and seven ground balls. Peterson and Jace Childs each recorded a hat trick while the latter added six ground balls.

Tech (5-1, 1-0 WHAC) returns to action Monday as they host No. 7-ranked Ottawa in nonconference action. Opening faceoff is set for 7 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
