SEGUIN, Texas – The Indiana Tech softball team was swept by Texas Lutheran, 3-0, and 6-1, on Saturday afternoon at Ed Kruse Stadium to cap their Spring Break Trip through the Lone Star State.
 
The Bulldogs took advantage of three walks and a hit batsman in the third to push across a pair of runs, but Jamie Conrad would get out the jam as she induced a ground ball with two outs to leave the bases loaded for the hosts.
 
TLU would then draw a bases loaded walk in the fourth to make it a 3-1 ballgame after three singles for the Bulldogs, but the Warriors would again escape further damage as TLU left the bases loaded again, but it would be of little consequence as Tech would only get two more base runners the rest of the game to drop the opener, 3-0.
 
A one-out triple followed by a RBI double would put the Bulldogs on the board in the second and they got out to a 2-0 lead over the Orange and Black before making it a 5-0 game in the fifth.
 
Brianna Glass would drive in Selena Schulteis in the sixth after the latter led off the inning with a walk, but the Warriors would strand a pair of base runners in the sixth and seventh to drop the last game of the series, 6-1.
 
Tech (3-17-1) returns to action Thursday as they travel to regional rival Taylor for a nonconference doubleheader. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. from Gudakunst Field.
