LIVONIA, Mich. – The No. 3-ranked Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team improved its winning streak to seven games on Monday evening as they defeated Madonna, 19-1, in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action at the Madonna Athletic Complex.
Heidi Tremaine got the scoring started just 50 seconds into the game with her 21
st goal of the season to spark a 9-0 run while the Warriors went into the locker room leading 13-1. Tech held the Crusaders to just four shots on goal in the game, with all four coming in the first half, while causing turnovers.
Tremaine and
Sam Vikstrom would each record a hat trick while
Bailey Childs dished out three assists. Tremaine would grab four ground balls while Vikstrom added four draw controls and two caused turnovers.
Tech (7-0, 2-0 WHAC) returns to action Wednesday when they host Aquinas in their delayed home opener. Opening draw is set for 5 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
