Warriors Win Eighth Straight Game with 16-4 Win over Aquinas

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 3-ranked Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team tied its longest winning streak in program history on Wednesday evening at Warrior Athletic Field as they defeated Aquinas, 16-4, in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action for their eighth straight win.
 
Bailey Childs put the Warriors on the board just 31 seconds into the game as Tech scored 12 consecutive goals, with the first seven coming in the opening 10 minutes, as the hosts would head into the locker room leading 12-1.
 
The Orange and Black made the most of their scoring opportunities in the second half, holding a 4-3 advantage in the half, while forcing 11 turnovers in the final 30 minutes as they swept the season series with the Saints.
 
Kristina Scott lead the team with four goals, two coming off of free position opportunities, while Sam Vikstrom recorded three goals, 12 ground balls and nine caused turnovers. Childs would add a game-high four draw controls while Sydney Davis made 10 saves in goal for the win.
 
Tech (8-0, 4-0 WHAC) will look to continue their winning streak Saturday as they travel to defending NAIA National Champion and No. 4-ranked Davenport. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m. from the DU Turf Field.
