Tech Gets Back on Track with Rout of Cardinals

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The No. 3-ranked Indiana Tech women's lacrosse team was back on the winning side Monday as they defeated Concordia, 21-4, in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action at Cardinal Stadium.
 
The Cardinals would race out to an early lead as they scored the first goal just 34 seconds into the game, but the Warriors would tie the game at 27:43 in the first with a goal from Jennifer Banks. That would spark an 8-0 run from Tech over the next 14 minutes while the visitors closed the half leading 14-3.
 
With the running clock in effect to start the second half, the Orange and Black would score three goals in the first 10 minutes and hold a 9-0 advantage in draw controls to cruise to the conference victory.
 
Kristina Scott netted a game-high five goals while adding four ground balls, two caused turnovers and two draw controls. Heidi Tremaine would contribute four goals while Sam Vikstrom, McKenna Mesclier and Banks all recorded a hat trick. Sydney Davis earned her ninth win in goal while playing just over 30 minutes.
 
Tech (9-1, 5-1 WHAC) returns home on Wednesday as they host Lourdes in another conference game. Opening draw is set for 5 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
