Warriors Come Up Short Against Golden Eagles

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's tennis team fell to Cornerstone, 5-4, on Saturday in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action at NorthPointe Christian High School.
 
The Golden Eagles would take a 2-1 lead in doubles action with the Warriors lone win coming from the second flight of Kassidy Hawk and Hannah Dodd, who won 8-1.
 
Raquel Manzoni and Anabell Cordero would both record double bagels, 6-0, 6-0, at one and two singles, respectively, while Hawk picked up a 7-5, 6-4 decision at the third position, but the hosts would pick up wins at four, five and six singles, with five and six coming via forfeit, as they held off the Warriors.
 
Tech (2-8, 0-2 WHAC) returns to action April 7 as they take on No. 14-ranked Davenport on the road. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m. from Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex.
