FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's soccer team fell to Trinity Christian College, 4-1, in nonconference action on Tuesday evening at Warrior Athletic Field.
The Warriors would strike first in the contest as
Tori Singstock blasted one into the net from 25 years out in the 11
th minute for her third goal of the season and put Tech up 1-0. The Trolls would be quick to answer though, tying things up in the 25
th minute as Taylor Miller scored the first of her two goals on the evening.
The rest of the first half would be relatively quiet as neither side would get off a shot on goal, but that would change in the 57
th minute as Miller took advantage of a deflected ball to get one past
Chloe Parker to put the visitors up 2-1.
Jessica Bianchi, the nation's fifth-leading scorer with nine goals heading into the contest, would provide Trinity Christian with some late offense as she scored twice in the last 15 minutes to give the Trolls a 4-1 lead while pushing their record to a perfect 7-0-0.
Singstock recorded two shots on frame while
Shelby Lucas and
Sydney Lemelin each had one. Parker made four saves in the loss.
Tech (3-3-0) has a long break before returning to action on Tuesday, September 19 at home as they host Indiana Wesleyan. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
