MARION, Ind. – The Indiana Tech women's tennis team recently completed three days of action at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan.

Maria Jimenez defeated seventh-ranked Emily Mast in a 5-7, 6-0, 10-4 battle in the first round and advanced to the round of 16 with a 6-0, 7-6 (7-4) victory before falling to Indiana Wesleyan's Becky Scurt in straight sets, 7-5, 6-2. Jimenez would team up with
Hannah Dodd in doubles action, advancing to the round of 16 with an 8-4 win before falling in their next match.
Tech returns to dual action on Tuesday, September 19, as they travel to Goshen College. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m. from the Goshen College Tennis Complex.
