FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team secured three points in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action on Wednesday evening as they defeated the University of Michigan-Dearborn, 2-0, at Warrior Athletic Field.
The early portion of the game would be a defensive struggle with only four shots on goal in the first half, but the Warriors would strike in the 51
st minute as
Brennan Cochran curled one past the keeper after
Malte Dennert found him at the top of the box. The goal is Cochran's ninth of the season, the most of any player in the WHAC.
Tech would continue to keep up the offensive pressure against the Wolverines, firing off seven more shots on goal, with
Richard Doll making it a 2-0 game with his second goal of the season in the 87
th minute, taking advantage of a deflected ball in the box to put the game out of reach.
Edwin Rosado made two saves in net as he recorded his second straight shutout. Cochran had a game-high four shots on goal while Doll and
James Ohms each had two.
Tech (6-3-0, 2-0-0 WHAC) returns to action Saturday as they travel to Lourdes for a WHAC matchup. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. from Wildcat Stadium in Sylvania, Ohio.
