Box Score FREMONT, Neb. – The Indiana Tech men's ice hockey team fell to ACHA Division I No. 18-ranked Midland, 8-1, on Saturday evening at Sidner Ice Arena, snapping a nine-game winning streak for the Warriors and giving the Orange and Black their first loss of the season.
Midland got out to a fast start as they scored four times in the first period to put the visiting Warriors on their heels. Tech would get on the board with 4:04 left in the second only to see the home Warriors respond with a fifth goal to take a 5-1 lead in the final period. The third would see the hosts score three more times as they took the series finale between the two teams, 8-1.
Tech (16-1-1) returns to action next Friday as they host ACHA Division I No. 5-ranked Robert Morris in a two-game set. Puck drop is set for 8:30 p.m. from the SportONE/Parkview Ice House.
