ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Indiana Tech men's soccer team ran its winning streak to four games Wednesday afternoon with a 1-0 victory over Concordia University (Mich.) at Cardinal Stadium in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) play. It's the Warriors seventh win in their last eight games, with the non-win being a scoreless draw.
The two sides battled to a 0-0 halftime score, with the Warriors holding a 4-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Brennan Cochran put the visitors up 1-0 just two minutes into the second half for his first goal of the season with a header after
Mitch Smith crossed it into the box.
The Cardinals would come right back with an opportunity of their own that was thwarted by
Edwin Rosado in the 49
th minute. Cochran and
Joseph Nash peppered the Concordia keeper over the next five minutes with three shots on frame between the two, but were unable to put up a crooked number.
The Warriors held strong the rest of the way to complete the win and notch their seventh shutout of the season, and the third for Rosado.
Tech (9-3-1, 5-0-1 WHAC) returns to action Saturday as they host Lawrence Tech. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. from Warrior Athletic Field.
