Box Score ALBERT LEA, Minn. – The Indiana Tech men's ice hockey team opened its weekend set against Waldorf University with a 6-0 victory Friday evening at Albert Lea City Arena in North American Intercollegiate Hockey Association (NAIHA) action.
"We played a full 60 minutes tonight," said head coach
Frank DiCristofaro. "Bryson made some big saves early or it could have been a different game. We need to carry this momentum into tomorrow."
The Warriors scored three times in the first period, including twice in the final minute, with
Stavros Soilis,
Nick Trefry and
Jarrett Pfeiffer lighting the lamp for the visitors.
Adam Jonak made it a 4-0 game in the second while Pfeiffer and
Joel Holmberg both found the back of the net in the third to extend the advantage to 6-0.
Bryson Linenburg made 19 saves in net to pick up his second shutout of the season.
Tech (6-4-0) returns to action Saturday for the weekend finale against Waldorf. Puck drop is set for 8 p.m. EST from Albert Lea City Arena.
