ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Indiana Tech women's volleyball team ended their 2018 regular season on a high note as they swept Concordia University (Mich.), 25-17, 25-8, 25-20, on Wednesday evening in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) action.
 
Olivia Niekamp led the Warriors with 11 kills and hit .421 while Calista Helinski and Jordan Aylward each had nine each, with Helinski hit .348. Madison Park had a team-best 17 assists while Madeline MacDonald had 20 digs.
 
Tech came out of the opening serve swinging with a 9-3 run to take control of the match. The Cardinals cut the deficit down to 16-14, but the Warriors closed out the set on a 7-1 run take a 1-0 lead.
 
The second set would be all Warriors as the visitors went on an 11-1 run, with Concordia's lone point coming on the opening serve of the set. Tech extended their lead to 17-3 following a 6-1 spurt while a 5-0 run closed out the 25-8 win for the Orange and Black.
 
Tech got out to a 9-5 lead to begin the third, but the Cardinals battled back to take a 16-13 lead following a 5-0 run. The Warriors would not let the hosts get back into the match as they rattled off a 7-1 run to go ahead 20-17. The visitors then closed out the regular season with a 5-2 spurt to complete the sweep.
 
Tech (20-14, 10-10 WHAC) will now await their opponent in the quarterfinals of the WHAC Tournament, set for Wednesday, November 7, at the higher seed.
